With Stratoconception®, a part is manufactured from thin sheets of material that are cut out and glued together like plywood. The material sheets can be made of metal plates, polymer, adhesive-coated paper, or even wood.
With this process, even large parts can be constructed without sacrificing precision. The need for multiple post-processing steps (assembly, gluing, and sanding) and the waste generated when products are cut out are, however, drawbacks.
